SPANISH IMMERSION DAY
During Spanish Immersion Day, students participate in speaking and cultural activities led by teachers and native speakers for a few hours on a Saturday. Students dance Latin dances, do ice breakers, eat an authentic Mexican lunch, and play interactive games such as "El Frenesí Familiar", "Un Viaje Virtual", "El Juego Loco", "Las Estrellas del Cine", "¿Quién Quiere Hacerse Millonario?", "Los Juegos Infantiles", "Te Toca" A Ti", y "La Carrera Asombrosa." But, watch out! If any students get caught speaking English, they are sent to the dreaded Spanish jail where they must answer cultural questions and chat in Spanish in order to leave! After the activities, the students enjoy a delicious authentic lunch and spend some time with their new friends speaking in Spanish.
